My opinions on Boston’s issues with Aqua Teen…

February 2nd, 2007

…can be summed up by this. What makes this jut so dumb, is that these have been up for weeks in Boston. As well as nine other cities. New York City, you know, the place where the WTC towers used to be, didn’t flip out like this. Then again, NYC is also the kind of place that’s building a new WTC that’s even BIGGER, just to show the world they aren’t afraid.

So I’m Apparently Back with AT&T

January 17th, 2007

I’ll post a real update soon. It’s been a busy week. It’s been good, and looks to get better, but I don’t want to jinx anything. I will, however, post this, because Stephan Colbert is too funny.

Enjoy!

TV Reactions

October 23rd, 2006

So tonight was the big night for my TV viewing. Here are my thoughts on the shows:

  • How I Met Your Mother – So I watched this for the first time in full tonight, and it really is funny. This was a show I found out about via Brian Beck, and I know owe him. It was pretty funny. Plus Neil Patrick Haris is hilarious.
  • Heroes – Man! This show is awesome. I seriously enjoy watching this show. I don’t love all of the characters, but most of them, are awesome. I also love how the characters have begun to use their powers. This show gets better and better every week.
  • Studio 60 – I liked this week show. It didn’t have all of the funny elements I was expecting, but it definitely had some good lines. I like how they handled the “good” black comedian. Everything D.L. Hughly was saying was what I was thinking. I really like where the show is going, I think this show is going to take some time to get moving. There’s still so much set up to go. I’m also growing to like how they are handling the president, Jordan. They are slowly making her more human. I’m interested to see how this moves forward.

So those are my impressions of this week. Still looking forward to the monday night line-up half way through the season.

Is it me, or is TV getting better?

September 26th, 2006

I’m not sure exactly when it happened, but at some point, televeision, especially network television, stopped sucking. And it wasn’t just like, oh, there’s a show or two worth watching. No, now it’s, “Hey it’s , oh man, is on.” It’s awesome. I’ve currently already gotten hooked on four different dramas on network TV. I’d keep them on my DVR, but they all broadcast in HD and it just eats up space. Plus their an hour each.

Here’s what I’m hooked on:

  • Justice – I really like the idea of a drama that goes behind the scenes of a high-powered LA legal defense firm. I really like the ending where they show exactly what actually happened, regardless of the verdicts. Plus it shows all of the defense tactics that go into the case. This is just great, especially since I haven’t known what the verdict was going to be before it was said. At one point, I thought a person was going to surely be found one way, and they had it go another.
  • Standoff – I liked the Negotiator. I like Ron Livingston. I know a lot of the critics don’t like it. Even the female lead is growing on me. Of the new shows I’m into, this is my least favorite, but I still find myself excited to watch it every Tuesday.
  • Heros – The pilot was shown last night. I’m already hooked. It’s like watching the beginings of the X-Men universe unfold. People slowly discovering they have powers. I thought it would be really lame, but after a single show, I’m already eagerly awaiting the next episode.
  • Studio 60 On the Sunset Strip – Now, I like Sorkin’s writing. I thought Sports Night was great. I wasn’t obsessed with the West Wing mainly because I wasn’t interested in a political drama. I am already obsessed. Seriously, I keep watching parts of the show over in my head. I’m eagerly awaiting the first dvd collection of a TV show that has aired 2 shows. TWO. The writing alone has been great. There are probably Uber-Sorkin fans who aren’t as into it because of their previous obsession, but for someone who hasn’t been over exposed…I’m on board. Fully. In fact, I’m already excited for watching the show again tonight (thank you DVR, you are awesome). Seriously, watch this show. If you have class or something Monday night, dvr it. If you can’t do that, I hear this Bittorrant thing is pretty useful. Just go watch the show.

So yeah. I’m watching a lot of TV and playing a lot of video games. I didn’t grow up, I just found a way to afford all of my vices.
