Video Game Updated (actually posted)

January 31st, 2008

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a bit on video games, so I figure I’ll drop an update. Partially so I can make sure I get my own opinions on this stuff down. And it’s not like I’ve stopped or planning on stopping anytime soone (thanks Writers Guild of America).

  • Assassin’s Creed (Xbox 360) – I loved this game. I went through and completed the game to serious level. Some people complain about the ending, but honestly, it really wasn’t that bad. And by the time I got there, I was getting a better grasp on the combat (I had sucked at it for most of the game. And no, that’s not usual) I totally recommend it to the people out there who game. (You know who you are)
  • The Orange Box (XBox 360) – I honestly refer to this as “the Portal Box” because that’s why I bought it. Of the 5 games included on this one disk, I honestly purchased the entire thing for one game that literally took me only about 2.5 hours to beat; which I had done before I even bought the thing. The game is that good. Seriously, it is. Plus Team Fortress is the most fun I’ve had playing with random people..well…ever. And I’m even enjoying Half Life 2, which I finally decided to play since…well..I now have a copy. Seriously, get this game. It has cake.
  • Rock Band (Xbox 360) – This is a recent pick up for me. I have some friends staying with me and one of them mentioned how much she had enjoyed playing it. And since I had recently gone to a friend’s/coworker’s place and played it, I picked it up. I really like it. I’m not sure how much of it I’m going to blaze through, but it will be a nice one to have around to play with friends.

So that’s the rundown. I’m currently really looking forward to picking up Devil May Cry 4 (the demo was awesome) and Lost Odyssey next month. And thankfully, there isn’t anything coming out for a while after that I’m interested in, so I should be able to catch up. ^_^

Life and Times

A Lifting Milestone

January 15th, 2008

First off, there was a point where I had stopped working out. Basically, between May and September, I stopped working out. And I know, I know, it’s only four months. But given how little excersize I was getting due to work, I had gained a bit of weight. So in mid September, I resumed working out. (Along with playing football)

Needless to say, I got back in shape.

Well, yesterday, I hit kind of a cool milestone. I’m not where I want to be, but it’s still pretty sweet. Yesterday, for the first time in my life, I bench pressed my body weight. And I had witnesses which was pretty cool. So yeah, um…go me.
