And It’s Finally Over
So, if you read my AIM away messages, you already know my feelings on PAX. And in case you don't, I will boil it down very simply: it sucked. Seriously, it was incredibly lame. I'm just so glad it's finally over.
I really don't want to go into all of the reasons of why I felt that this con just didn't do it for me. I mean, between the lack of content, the disorganization of the staff, and the really awful venue, I just wanted to be gone. What’s worse, was that I just didn’t care about being there. I was talking to a friend of mine from Sakura-con and she made the comment about how it was supposed to be work mixed with fun. Yet there wasn’t anything fun about my job. It was just work. And work that wasn’t engaging. It was just tedious.
But it’s over. Plus I got to watch the artist get his Photoshop on, so it wasn’t a complete waste. Well, that and I learned to play War Machine. So I did get something out of it.
But yeah, it’s now out, which is great. Because my life is going to finally slow down. Seriously, this was the last thing that really was kind of crazy. Now, everything I do is going to be scheduled and rather chill. I’ve been looking forward to this for a while. Sure I have football, but that’s the most committed thing I have. Everything else is relaxed, and come as it does.
