Oh The Irony
So I'm watching the reruns of the VH-1 race special on inter-racial dating, and it's very interesting how racist this show actually is. The things that are being said are based entirely on stereo-types, it's almost tasteless. At the same time, some of the things they are saying are things I've seen in my own life. So it's kind of a strange situation. Part of my laughs, and part of me is offended.
Sigh…it's kind of a strange situation. Then again, it's like any race related show that involves humor. The humor is going to come from laughing at common stereotypes. What seems to make it funnier is when the stereotyped people are in on it. It's kind of like black people getting together talking about black stereotypes. It's just kind of, interesting.
