Wow, I really needed this. I just slept for about five hours or so. I must have been exhausted from work. Coming back to my parents house has been refreshing. I have done nothing but eat sleep, watch tv, and played football for about 45 minutes (there weren’t a lot of people and we were all out of shape). Yeah it’s been good.
I didn’t like having to fly on Thanksgiving. That kind of sucked. But coming in too a hot (relatively – they started eating without me) was really nice. Plus I’ve gotten to see my family and that is always good. It’s also just nice as a change of scenery. I don’t come to Cincinnati all that often, so it’s usually pretty refreshing to come here. I’m going to grab some BW-3′s tonight. Some Skyline tomorrow, and I will be totally recharged for the next month or so. I’m pumped.
I really don’t have much to say. It’s been a chill few days. Anyway, I’ll write more later.

Again with the being like college. All nighters suck. Sleep good.

And after a couple of months of living in Seattle, I'm actually developing a social life. I probably should have gotten on this sooner, but I was busy with travelling and being a bum. But now I'm getting out and about.
This all started last week when I got an email from my friend, Thais. This past Thursday was her 21st birthday (she graduated from high school early) and last night, she had a party thrown for her. While there, I met this guy, Dan, who's a member of the Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra and runs a site called Zoji.com. Dan was cool and invited me to a post-concert party he was throwing. Seeing as how I could use the social interaction I decided to go tonight. I'm glad I did. At both parties, I've met a bunch of really cool people and made some new friends. See, I'm being social.
Speaking of Zoji, I now have three different blog accounts. I have this site. I have the blog feature of Zoji, and I have a LiveJournal account so I can read my friends posts. This is getting a bit crazy. I'm currently trying to figure out a good way to manage all of these. I'm thinking that RSS may be the way to go. Setup a feed from here and go. Or something else. And I still don't have my tech site set up. Man, I'm a mess. I really am. *shrugs* oh well.
Anyway, it's time for bed. I need to get up and work tomorrow. Yay work. But it's cool, because I'm heading to the rents on Thursday and I will be in Cincinnati for a few days. Should be fun. Plus there's GeekBowl. Ahh, yeah.

Life and Times
This is going to be a long weekend. And not in the good way. Well, I guess it will be good, just not short term, catching up on my sleep good. No, this weekend is going to be looong in terms of work.
My workload has kind of doubled recently. This normally wouldn't be so bad if I was taking on another project like the ones that I normally take on. As in, testing things. But this dev project is a whole other beast. I've never done a serious structured dev like this for the company. I've never worked in a language like one of the languages we're using, and the other language is completely new to me. All of this, with a code complete deadline of Monday means, it's going to be a long weekend.
In the long run, this will be really good for me. Being a member of the test team who's written code that is actually in production is a rarity. It's technically not supposed to happen, but we've had to bend the rules to get some stuff done. But yeah, it's good because I already have a better understanding of the development cycle, plus I'll actually have real live code out there.
I just have to get there. And I have to do so while still getting enough sleep to not be useless. *shrugs* Although it does mean a few more really late nights. Eh, at least I get a break coming up.
