My Car!!!

August 31st, 2004

Sigh…I was having a good day yesterday. I really was. Work was going well, I was going to head to the gym and then head home. I was going to relax, probably play some video games and sleep. I'd talk to Nicole like I do every night. Everything was going to be great. Then she hit my car…

Yup, someone hit my car on the way from the Microsoft to the Pro Club (my gym). I'm not really pleased, but no one got hurt.

So what happened? Well, I was driving down the road and came to a highway overpass. The guy in front of me makes a sudden lane change, so I slow down, look up at the light, see a green, and continue on my way. As I'm going through the intersection, I look in my left, rear-view mirror and see a white car heading into mine.

Fortunatly, no one was hurt, but still. So I pull over to the side of the road and get out. I look over my car, there's a good sized indentation in my car. Her car is basically fine; mine took the brunt of the accident.

So after looking things over, the woman looks at me and asks if I think we need to stay. Now, I know better than to leave the scene of an accident. I personally think she was asking because she knows she was in the wrong and wanted to kind of run away. Of course when I said I didn't want to leave, she got very defensive, but I can understand that.

Since she apperently didn't have a cell phone, or it wasn't charged, or wasn't working or whatever, I pulled out my phone called the police and Dad and just kind of got things going. After a fun talk with the police officer (who happened to be an RX-8 owner herself) I headed home.

Currently, they haven't said who was at fault, since the woman I hit said she had a green arrow. Since we have no witnesses, it's her word versus mine. Which is always fun. Hopefully, I should find out who they felt was at fault and all such things.

Sigh….

Everything else is going well. I bought furnature last Sunday for the apartment. That was fun. I also moved in with Meghan and Steve on Saterday, so that's a big thing out of my hair. But yeah, I've been working hard and things are going really well at work.

Alright, time to get back to work. And hopefully I can get this car thing resolved as soon as possible.

So I Should Read the Emails From the Host Provider

August 28th, 2004

My web host changed the security setup for everyone, which my administration stuff stop working. Thus…no updates. Hopefully I can update tomorrow with what's been going. But I thought I'd just write so that everyone knows I'm alive.

This about sums it up.

Seeing as how I work for Microsoft, I find this to be very true.

And For One Weekend, I had everything

August 16th, 2004

Well, Nicole was out for this past weekend. And the only way to properly sum it up is to say, it absolutely ruled!! So the weekend was awesome.

To start off, I got paid Friday. I'm not going to say how much, but I'm officially a working man. Getting my first real world pay check was both cool and very scary. It was a sudden reminder that I'm not a kid anymore. I have responsibilities now. That's a bit scary. At the same time, I'm on my own. I only have to get my work done. Beyond that, I am free to be me. That's pretty cool.

So after what seemed to be the longest Friday of work ever, I went home, cleaned up the apartment and my self and headed for Sea-Tac airport to pick up Nicole. It was pretty late, so she and I grabbed some food at Red Robin and headed back to my place to crash.

Saterday, after sleeping in, we headed off to the Seattle Center. The Seattle center is where the World's Fair was, and it has a whole lot of museams there. For this trip, Nicole and I went to the EMP and looked at stuff. This was fun because we are both into music and there were some cool exhibits dealing with the Beatles and Rock and Roll cloths. After that, we drove over to Alki beach for a little bit. I wanted to show Nicole the view of Seattle from Alki Beach. It's pretty awesome and I figured she'd get a big kick out of it.

After Alki Beach, Nicole and I met up with Steve, Meghan and Avro for some food. After food, we went back to Meghan and Steve's to play some Munchkin and to watch Pirates of the Carribean. We all had a good time, and Nicole managed to win on only her second game. After that, we headed back to my apartment to mellow out before falling asleep.

Today was not the most exciting day, but it was a good day. Nicole and I got up really late and just lounged around the apartment all day. After getting some Quiznos, I showed Nicole the office and then it was off to Sea-Tac.

Going to the airport was weird. Nicole and I were joking around and having a pleasant time, but it was overshadowed by the sense of saddeness at having to be apart again. It's going to be about seven weeks before I get to see Nicole again, and that's rather upsetting. Especially after this weekend. For 46 hours, I had everything I had ever wanted and in one place. It is sad that I will have to wait a long time for this to happen again, but that ok. This weekend made me realize how good that time will be. Good things are worth the wait, and I know that repeating this past weekend will be more than worth it.

Alright. TIme for me to leave the office. I've gotten to a good stopping point and I will be good for tomorrow morning. Later all.

One Week Down

August 7th, 2004

So when I said I would write…I lied. It's not my fault, well, yes it is. But anyway. So the week has been good. Things at work are a bit hectic. But that's life, especially since I know it was goign to be that way when I got here. *shrugs*

So yeah, I'm currently as settled as I'm going to get. I'm in my temp apartment, which is pretty sweet. I'm currently living in Redmond which puts me about seven minutes away from work when there isn't any traffic. I don't have much in the way of stuff, but I have enough to keep me occupied.

Although being occupied has not been a problem. A bunch of my friends of Camp were interns (this is their final week) so we've been hanging out a lot. I've also been hanging out with Meghan and Steve as well. So I've been having a pretty sweet time.

Alright, it's time to go. I need to get home and get some food. Think I'm gonna chill with G, Jyorke, and Cherbs tonight. Seeing as how it's one of their last nights here.
