Long Car Day…

June 18th, 2004

Sigh…the process of getting a car is taxing. I was supposed to get a car today. I didn't. Maybe tomorrow.

Pictures

June 16th, 2004

Sigh..I'm looking at the background that is on my laptop screen. It's a picture of me and Nicole from Winter Formals this past year. It's interesting how pictures can both make us feel better, yet feel longing at the same time. I had never thought about it before, but it has slowly hit me, that pictures are a double edged sword.

I recently set up my computers to act as automated picture frames; showing pictures of Nicole and me at various times, and it's a bit bitter sweet. Remember how great those times were, and seeing her smile is awesome. Looking at these pictures just makes me smile, it's really incredible. At the same, time, seeing Nicole just makes me want to be near her even more. Sigh…

It's surprising, I'm excited about the next couple of weeks. But yet I keep looking past everything to the 2nd when I'm going out to California. I'm excited about what I'm going to be doing, and I have a lot to do. I'm excited to get back to UM and to see South Carolina again. I'm loving all the time that I get to spend with my family, but I wish I could see Nicole. It's a very strange position to be in. I feel very torn about the whole thing.

Looking at these pictures seems to make time stand still, but time has been flying. I hadn't thought about it, but I graduated two weeks ago. It doesn't to be even that, it feels like I graduated just yesterday. It hasn't even sunk in that I don't have any more school. I've already woken up a few times, scared that I'm not going to graduate, only to realize I'm done. It's weird. I guess I'm just having a hard time believing I made it. But yet, it stills so good to remember that I'm done. That doesn't change. *smiles*

Alright, it's time for bed. I need to get up; I have a great deal of stuff to do.

EMail and Web Fun

June 13th, 2004

So I'm up late working on the site. This is a bit of a change. I haven't actually done much in the way of making updates to this site in a few months. Other than blogging, I haven't done much beyond tweaking a few things here and there. Of course, there are still a few things that need to be worked on, so I will probably be working on that for the next couple of days.

I've also been having all kinds of e-mail fun. I went from having one email account that I used on a regular basis to having four email accounts that I'm juggling. I've got my old Princeton account, my Princeton Alumni account, my email on this site, and I have a GMail account. Of these, I'm currently a fan of GMail the most. Mainly because it's a webmail experience that doesn't suck. It's fast, it has a lot of space, and it's very clean in terms of getting mail. I wish it had imap/pop access, but for being webmail, it's awesome. The current problem I have is, which email do I give to whom. Right now, I'm thinking I will give my friends and family my account on this server, and I will save my gmail account for various mailing lists and such.

Beyond that, not much else is really going on. Life here in Cincinnati is pretty boring. I actualy don't mind this because it gives me time to sleep and relax and just kind of take care of things I haven't been able to in a while. A lot of little things I've been putting off I can get back to.

The one thing I don't like about this whole Cincinnati thing is the lack of Nicole. I miss her like crazy. I've come to grips with the fact that I'm not going to see her for a few weeks, but it still sucks ass. I'm definetly looking forward to going out to California. What's interesting is how much I'm looking forward to seeing her, and how little I care about what I do. I know that during the day, my life is going to be about the same, lots of bumming. But the fact that every day I'll see Nicole makes it seem like the most awesome thing ever.

Alright, time for sleep. Sleep is good. I wish my sleep schedule were a bit more regular, but eh..that's life.

This is…astonishing

June 11th, 2004

So I'm watching this show with my sister and her friends and it's all about crazy gameshow moments. I'm going to say, there are some seriously crazy people out there. People will just say really crazy things. Especially on game shows.

So yeah, today was another chill day. I got a little more done on the site (fixed the flash and linked it) and I played some more video games. Yeah, my life is pretty low key. I'm pretty happy with things. Tomorrow dad and I are going to go test drive cars and I'm looking forward to that.

As I'm watching this, I'm even more amused by people on TV. People are crazy. Yes, yes they are…

So I found A Little Motivation

June 10th, 2004

So I've been a bit active lately. Well, more active than I was five days ago. So far, I've actually gotten around to hooking up all of my computer equipment, as well as making this website a little more ready for primetime. I've also started working out again. It's pretty light stuff, but then, I haven't worked out in many many months.

I'm finding myself to be more and more motivated recently. I'm still sleeping a lot and resting, but my motivation is now lasting long enough for me to finish what I start. I definetly was not prepared for how little energy I was going to have when I first got home. I feel that in a few weeks, I should be sufficiently recharged enough to begin doing things. Not that I actually will, but enough to start.

I've also gotten back into playing video games. I've decided to start working on beating games. I want to finish the two I'm working on now (Warcraft 3 and Need for Speed Underground) before I start any new ones. Once I finish these, I will move onto other games, but I am in no rush to beat them. I've just got other things I want to be doing as well.

Yeah, that's all that's happening right now. I'm just kind of hanging out and relaxing. Dad and I are going to look at cars on Friday, which shoudl be fun. I want to test drive stuff and get his opinions on various cars before I begin to contemplate a purchase. Other than that, I just have some basic computer and web stuff I want to do over the next few days weeks. Later.
