Opening Night

April 16th, 2004

So today was opening night. And boy oh boy, was that…fun. It was definetly one of those shows. It had it's good parts, and it's bad. I personally did alright, although there were some questionable moments. Hopefully things will turn out cool in the end. Get it all out of our system at the begining.

Yeah, I think this is why I don't do much theater anymore. I just get left feeling so tired. It's a lot of work to run tech, and generally, you get treated like ass. So far, Disiac has treated me alright. The guys are cool, of course, I already knew a lot of them. The girls, eh, they don't want to get to know me, and that's cool.

In other news, I have to say congrats to Justin on getting the Microsoft Internship. Way to be. So far, I'm a whopping 1 and 2 in terms of recommended people. Hopefully G will also get a job and get me to 2 and 2.

Man I'm tired. And I haven't been good about blogging, which is sad. I also haven't done much artwork this semester, which really sucks. I am definetly ready to stop doing academic work. I want some time to myself, or better put, I just want time away from work. Actually, I want to be away from work that doesn't leave you alone, which is why college sucks. It never leaves. Oh well.

On a happier note, Nicole and I are doing well. It's a lovely springtime and we're enjoying being a cute couple together…in lab. Yeah, we spend a lot of time here. We're engineers, it's what we do. But things with Nicole are good.

Yeah, that's about it. ALright, time to be off and veg for the night. Lata.

Working a Show

April 13th, 2004

It's been a while since I've done any theater work. This week I'm running sound for the Disiac dance companies show. Tonight was my first rehearsal, and I think I'm going to enjoy this show. I wish I had more to say, but I'm pretty tired, had a long rehearsal tonight. Anyway, talk to you later.

The Joys of Orkut

April 7th, 2004

So it's been a while. My life in general has been good. I've had a lot of work, but that's life. Gotten it taken care of so yeah. Onto what I really want to talk about.

So I've been really involved with a website called Orkut. It's essentially a six degrees of seperation site, but it's invite only. So it only grows as people are added. It's a pretty interesting idea. Especially since there can be no lone nodes sinse one must be added as a friend to join.

So I've been really into looking over the site recently. I find that it's a great way to procrastinate. Mainly because you get to search for people and see friends of friends who may be your friends. *looks back to make sure that makes sense* I've also enjoyed some of the communities on orkut.

Essentially, communities are just groups of people sharing a common bond. One of the one's that has been interesting recently is the one for Microsoft employees (past, present, and future). From this group I've gotten to hear some opinions on living in Seattle, as well as this article. Since I'm with Nicole, the article really only proves to be a point of amusement; but the knowing about living in Seatle thing. That's very important. So yeah, I've been enjoying Orkut a lot.

In other news, congrats to Nicole for getting the job offer from HP. You rule. Also good luck to J and G with your MS interviews. Yeah, that's all for now. Lata.
