Waiting to Ski

December 30th, 2003

It's currently 8:40 in the morning and I'm waiting for breakfast. After we do the breakfast thing, it's off to Keystone Mountain for a good day of skiing. It's going to be about 25 degrees, which should be fun.

Yesterday's ski day was pretty good. Dad and I went over to Copper Mountain and had an excellent first day. Mind you, it had been eleven months since I had been on skis, so there was a bit of rust, but otherwise it was good. Even took a quick jaunt into the moguls, which was good. I like skiing moguls and it felt good to know that I hadn't lost my ability to rock the bumps.

Anyway, I'm currently waiting for breakfast. It's snowing outside, which is good. I wish it would have snowed harder last night, but at least it won't be white out conditions. It's really beautiful outside. The mix of green, white, and rock is just gorgious. I'm also excited to be heading to Keystone, which is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. It's located in a national forest and the views are just breath taking.

So yeah, currently, we're just chilling. Mom is cooking, Dad is walking around doing lord knows what, Syd's asleep, and I'm sitting here typing. Pretty chill. Alright, time to get going.

And We’re Here

December 28th, 2003

And welcome to Colorado. So now I'm here in beautiful Frisco, Colorado; which is where I will be for the next week or so while my family skis. should be exciting. Haven't done any skiing as of yet; mainly because my family has just been too tired to get up. *shrugs* We'll hit the slopes hard tomorrow.

In terms of working, not much has gotten done. I'm having issues tying up some of the loose ends from my independent work, which I need to do before I can begin writing. It would also help to get the basic outline of what they are looking for. Hmmm…i'll have Nicole read that to me when I talk to her.

So what happened yesterday? Well, not much outside of flying. We did meet up with my cousins in denver and that was fun. Since the two of them each play instruments, we had a mini-jam session. This was fun, of course, I ended up having the White Strypes stuck in my head for a good portion of the night. But that's life. Other than that, it was pretty much a typical day of travel. I was a bit pissy towards the end, but I really hate traveling, and having to take two plane flights really didn't sit well with me. So yeah…that's about it. I'll post the one entry I made during the travel later.

Alright, my cousins have arrived so it's time to head out. In theory, there will be more to write about later.

And Now For St. Stephen’s Day

December 27th, 2003

Happy St. Stephen's Day!! If you're not sure what that is, just hit up google. It's good stuff. Anyway, Christmas is over, and all is well. Tomorrow, I will be off to Summit County, Colorado for a week of Skiing and working. Yay!!! Thank goodness for Chi (my laptop computer).

So how was Christmas? It was excellent. It's hard for it not to be. I enjoy giving gifts to those I'm close to, so I always look forward to Christmas. This year, I was all aout getting non-dvd presents for people. I got Patrick clothes from Hot Topic; Nicole got a Geek Blanket and a shirt that says “I am Cute.” I gave my sister a pajama combo from Hot Topic with Hello Kitty all over it. For my mother, I got Victoria Secret's Heavenly perfume box set, and for my father, a Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Wah-Wah pedal. I love giving gifts. So far, everyone has been pretty happy with their gifts, which is awesome. I hoped they would like them, so that seems good.

As for me? Well, I got a lot of clothes, which is really the only thing I really wanted. It's funny how when you're young, you don't want clothes, and when you get older, that's what you want. Well, at least that's what I wated. Got clothes from J. Crew and Hot Topic, which makes for an interesting combonation. I also got some stuff to go with my Tux, which I am very happy about. *smiles* Going to be looking good.

As for the rest of Christmas, it was great. We had a lot of good food; there was a lot of catching up done by me and my cousins, and we spent time watching old home movies. I have a hard time watching old movies. I generally don't deal well with watching myself. I was a bit of an annoying little kid. I also realize why people were hesitant to be my friends. I was just plain annoying. Bah. Fortunatly, I grew out of it. *shakes head*

It is funny, however, to watch myself learning to throw and ride a bike. I had forgotten what it was like before such things became second nature. I had forgotten just how uncoordinated I was. Thankfully, a steady regiment of sports, Taekwando, music lessons, and video games were able to fix that. I think we need to watch ourselves when we were young. Helps ground us. it's always best to remember who we are and where we came from. Plus, it's nice to just remember what life was like. Anyway, I'm out. Posts will stop untill the new year, when I will upload my posts from the week. Should be fun. Have a good and safe New Year and I'll get back to ya'll when I get back from Colorado.

Christmas Eve Ramblings

December 25th, 2003

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! I don't ave all that much to talk about. I spent most of the day asleep. Which is very wonderful. I apperently haven't been getting enough sleep. But that isn't anything new.

So it's been a fun couple of days. I've spent most of the time sleeping. Yesterday was more productive than most. I had to re-install windows on my dad's computer, and there was that whole Christmas shopping thing. That was fun. And by fun, I mean crazy. Going to malls alone is never fun. Going to malls alone two days before Christmas, even worse. At least I got gifts I think my family will like.

And today, was spent asleep. Well, most of the time. I did get up to decorate our tree, but yeah, not much was actually done. And I've been awake for the evening, although I'll probably hit the sack shortly after talking to Nicole.

Speaking of Nicole, I really miss her. We've spent a lot of time talking, but it's not the same. She's really a big reason this semester was so fast. Even the bad parts. She's wonderful. Yeah, that's all I can really say.

Alriht, time to go. Have a Merry Christmas everyone!!
